About Our Client

I'm currently partnering with a multi-million dollar manufacturing organization near Elgin, IL on a Controller opening for their accounting function.

The role reports directly into the CFO and will act as a hands-on leader with exposure to all aspects of the business to leave a meaningful impact. The Controller will be consolidating multiple entities, overseeing the accounting processes, and helping cross-functional leaders to better understand the financial performance of their business.

Job Description

Controller Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.Lead the consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities.Review financial results across the various businesses and provide insights into performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement.Partner closely with senior leaders to support financial planning, analysis, and strategic business decisions.Maintain strong internal controls and ensure the integrity of financial data and reporting processes.Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, streamline processes, and increase operational efficiency.Provide broad oversight and support across Finance, IT, and HR functions as needed.Take a hands-on approach to problem-solving while maintaining a broader perspective on the company's financial and operational performance.Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Controller Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldStrong ERP/accounting system experienceAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment5+ years of leadership/management experienceSolid understanding of AI and its business applicationsMulti-entity and/or multi-subsidiary accounting experienceStrong accounting and finance background
