Data Analyst (Logistics)

A leading global logistics and supply chain organization is seeking a Data Analytics & Business Intelligence Specialist to drive business insights and data-driven decision making across regional operations. This role will focus on developing analytical models, business intelligence solutions, and data visualization capabilities that support strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and business growth. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the business to translate complex data into actionable insights while leveraging modern analytics platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Azure-based technologies. The position requires strong expertise in data analytics, statistical modelling, business intelligence, and stakeholder engagement, coupled with the ability to transform data into compelling business stories that influence decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement analytical models that generate meaningful insights to drive business growth, improve operational performance, and mitigate risks. Explore multiple data sources and perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify relevant datasets and uncover actionable business insights. Design and engineer valuable data features that enhance analytics and reporting capabilities. Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, recommend data-driven actions, and evaluate performance improvement initiatives. Build and enhance business analytics capabilities aligned with strategic business use cases and operational objectives. Develop, maintain, and optimize interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. Communicate analytical findings through clear storytelling and effective data visualization techniques, translating complex insights into business-friendly recommendations. Provide technical and functional support to internal users on BI tools, reporting platforms, and analytics solutions. Collaborate closely with Data Engineering and Data Governance teams to ensure alignment on project timelines, requirements, data quality, and platform enhancements. Monitor emerging trends and advancements in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and analytics technologies, recommending improvements and best practices where appropriate. Support the adoption of data-driven decision-making by promoting analytics best practices across the organization. Ensure proper documentation of analytical methodologies, reporting logic, and business intelligence solutions. Candidate Profile: Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Engineering, or a related discipline. 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting, or related roles. Strong understanding of business operations, data requirements, and performance metrics. Sound knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics, and machine learning techniques. Proficient in SQL and Python and/or R for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and reporting. Hands-on experience developing and managing Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations. Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Experience with Microsoft Fabric /Azure Databricks is an advantage. Experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or related industries is highly preferred.
