As a global-leading health and well-being provider – encompassing physical, mental and financial health – TELUS Health is improving health outcomes for consumers, patients, healthcare professionals, employers and employees.Join Our Team and Succeed TogetherTELUS Health (US) Benefits Administration and Operations practice brings specialized expertise and innovative solutions to benefits administration, data management, and comprehensive client support.Our purpose is to streamline complex benefits processes through sophisticated database management and technical excellence, enabling organizations to deliver seamless benefits experiences while we handlethe intricate technical and administrative complexities.The Impact You'll MakeAs an Implementation Consultant, you'll serve as both a subject matter expert and technical systems resource, bridging the gap between complex benefits administration and seamless client experiences.You'll lead implementation projects, manage sophisticated data processing activities, and ensure our clients receive exceptional technical support throughout their benefits journey.What You'll DoDaily Operations & Administration (50%)Manage administrative and case management issues with minimal supervisionProcess individual participant requests and plan-level data operationsComplete and peer review transactions and file postings for plan participantsEnsure all items are processed accurately and within agreed-upon SLA timeframesCommunicate with clients regarding participant inquiries requiring additional informationTechnical Analysis & System Configuration (30%)Apply advanced analytical skills through data analysis, troubleshooting, and eligibility logic developmentTest and analyze system configurations against requirement documents during implementation and administrationLeverage sophisticated database tools to set up healthcare and group benefits databasesDefine data fields, import data, design screens, and create queries and reportsApply strong knowledge of Health and Welfare Benefit domain rules and regulationsReview plan documents to build plan-specific knowledge and assist with researchQuality Assurance & Project Management (20%)Participate in client-specific and TELUS Health-wide project initiativesMonitor project schedules to ensure deliverables are met on timeCollaborate with team leaders and project managers to define project scope, objectives, assignments, and timelinesIntegrate quality assurance processes into all projects and deliverablesNotify project managers or clients proactively if timelines are at riskWhat You Bring to the TeamExperience & Expertise:3-5 years in Benefits Administration industry, or as an Analyst/Operations SpecialistDemonstrated strength in analytical thinking and exceptional attention to detailFamiliarity with healthcare or group benefits conceptsProven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyTechnical Skills:Working knowledge of Excel including VLookup, Pivot Tables, and MacrosStrong ability to learn new systems and processes quicklyExperience with data processing and analysisCore Competencies:Excellent oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational and time management abilitiesSelf-motivated, quality-conscious, and committed to meeting deadlinesAbility to thrive in a collaborative team environmentPreferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of SQL, MS Access, and/or VBBA/BS degreeProject management backgroundPrevious experience with database management or data processingExperience in project coordination or administrative support rolesProfessional certifications in HR, benefits, or related fields (CEBS, SHRM, etc.)Experience working in a consulting or client services environmentUnderstanding of compliance requirements in benefits administrationYour Success ProfileWe're looking for someone who brings:Growth Mindset – Genuine desire for professional development with openness to feedback and continuous improvementProblem-Solving Excellence – Natural curiosity to understand complex processes and develop innovative solutionsAdaptability – Flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentCollaborative Spirit – Willingness to support team members and contribute to collective successPositive Attitude – Enthusiasm when facing new challenges and learning opportunitiesSalary Range: $58,100 - $90,000 CAD AnnualActual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
