Job Description

As a Junior Building Maintenance Contracts Manager, you will be expected to ensure that works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality and contractual standards. In your job role you provide strong technical knowledge to ensure contracts are delivered in compliance with Employers Requirements, specifications and drawings and highest standards within budget.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Supporting the day-to-day management of maintenance and minor work contractsReviewing work orders, specifications, drawings and contractual requirementsAssisting with work programmes, sequencing and resource coordinationMonitoring progress against programmes and contractual deadlinesCoordingating multiple reactive and planned maintenance projectsAttending client, progress and coordination meetingsPreparing progress reports and updates for senior managementSupporting contract compliance and KPI monitoringPreparing quotations, variations and financial reportsMonitoring labour, material and subcontractor costsIdentifying additional works, potential variations and commercial risksReviewing subcontractor quotations and payment applicationsMonitoring subcontract performance, quality and programmeEnsuring subcontractor documentation, RAMS, insurance and competency records are completeSupporting site inspections, audits, permits, isolations and temporary work requirementsPerson Specification

Essential Criteria

Experience in a building or construction role, with a proven background in managing projects from conception to completionExcellent time-management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressureStrong interpersonal and communication skillsCommercial awareness, including an understanding of cots and market trends.Good knowledge of health & safety, environmental and quality systemsStrong organisational skills and attention to detailSelf-starter with a positive and professional attitude.Strong technical and commercial awareness.A reliable, honest and accountable approach to workThe ability to build positive relationships with clients, colleagues and subcontractorsDesirable

Degree, HNC/HND in Building Engineering or equivalentExperience using specialist software such as Microsoft Project or Autodesk productsUnderstanding of temporary worksThe Company Offers
