Role Description

This is a full-time Legal Assistant / Paralegal role located in Calgary, AB, with flexibility to work in a hybrid work model with the ability to work from home. In this role, you will provide legal administrative and paralegal support to lawyers and other legal personnel.

Day-to-day tasks will include preparing, reviewing and organizing legal documents and disclosure, tracking time for yourself, drafting, and assisting with court filings and client communications.

Qualifications

Legal Assistant or paralegal degree/certificationAt least five (5) years of working experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or in a similar role, specifically in family lawKnowledge of legal terminology, legal documents and procedures associated with litigation, corporate law, and real estate lawExperience using legal software programs such as LEAP and MicrosoftStrong organizational and communication skillsAttention to detail and accuracy in work productAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlinesExperience in a fast-paced legal environment is a plus
