Legal Compliance Specialist

Soni is partnering with a global law firm seeking a detail-oriented QA & Compliance Advisor who brings a strong understanding of the Rules of Professional Conduct and experience in business intake, conflicts, and compliance review within a law firm environment. This individual will support a project related to RFPs, Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs), engagement terms, and compliance matters, while helping reduce the administrative workload of the existing QA team during a temporary leave of absence. The role requires sound judgment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, business intake professionals, and firm leadership to ensure adherence to risk management and ethical compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze client RFPs, Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs), engagement letters, and related compliance documents.Assist with intake and conflicts processes, including identifying and resolving potential ethical and business conflicts.Support the quality assurance and compliance function by reviewing engagement terms, waivers, ethical walls, and other risk management initiatives.Partner with attorneys and internal stakeholders to address compliance questions and recommend practical solutions.Help manage increased year-end workflow while maintaining high standards of accuracy, responsiveness, and client service.

Qualifications

Prior experience in a law firm conflicts, intake, risk management, or compliance function.Strong working knowledge of ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct and legal ethics principles.Experience reviewing engagement letters, OCGs, conflicts reports, or related compliance documentation.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation: $55 - $65/ Hour

Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
