Project Manager – Electrical Construction | Data Centers
Salary: $200,000 + Bonus + Per diem
Location: Texas
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Project Manager to oversee the delivery of major electrical construction projects within the Data Center / Mission Critical sector.
This position will be responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of electrical construction projects, working closely with senior project leadership and the field team.Establish project objectives, procedures, schedules and performance standards.Oversee project execution to ensure work is delivered in accordance with contract requirements, NEC standards, OSHA requirements and company safety procedures.Manage project financials, including budgets, forecasting, cost control, billing and financial reporting.Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors and project stakeholders.Represent the company in project meetings and client discussions.Review and manage change orders, including takeoffs, pricing and negotiations.Coordinate closely with field operations, estimating, procurement, engineering and commissioning teams.Monitor project progress, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions.Support business development and maintain strong relationships with key clients.Ensure project documentation, reporting and financial tracking remain accurate and up to date.Work primarily from the project site and travel as required.
Qualifications
5+ years of electrical construction project management experience.Experience managing electrical projects valued at $10M+.Mission Critical / Data Center construction experience strongly preferred.Experience with ground-up data center construction highly desirable.Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, project delivery and field operations.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred.Journeyman or Master Electrical License strongly preferred.Strong understanding of electrical estimating, budgeting, scheduling and project controls.Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.Strong knowledge of electrical construction vendors and subcontractors.Ability to travel as required.Experience with industry software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Accubid, BIM 360, MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar platforms.Ability to successfully complete required background and driving record checks.
Ideal Background: Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Construction Project Manager, Electrical PM, Mission Critical Project Manager, Data Center Project Manager or similar, with hands-on experience delivering large-scale electrical construction projects.
