Summary
The Ash Group is hiring aProject Manager III (24650) for our client,a major electricity and natural gas utility provider. This is a 12-month contract position working in Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid). We are offering a pay rate up to $83/hr W2 based on skill set.

What You’ll Be Doing
Responsible for managing complex and high risks projects. Oversees project budgets and schedules. Manage day-to-day aspects of project scope. Minimizes project risk. Creates and manages project work plans and work breakdown structures.The Project Manager II will be responsible for overseeing project execution, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget. You will manage project scope, timelines, and resources, and will be accountable for all aspects of the project lifecycle.Responsible for leading project meetings, coordinating with team members, managing project documentation, and addressing any issues that arise. The PM will also be responsible for communicating project status to stakeholders and ensuring alignment with project goals. Additionally, project financials will make up some time throughout the week/month.The PM will support a team of approximately 10-15 members, including developers, business analysts, and testers. Key players include the project sponsor, department heads, and other senior stakeholders. You will report to the Program Manager. The work environment is highly collaborative and supportive, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and open communication.
What We’re Looking For
Experience with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software deployment projects, including integration with legacy systems is a must.The ideal candidate should have 10 years of direct project management experience, with an additional 5-10 years of PM or PM-adjacent experience such as PMO, BA, and Test Lead.Must have a strong financial management background, including actuals/variance analysis, forecasting, etc. Experience with project management tools and software including Microsoft Project, Office 365, Confluence, and SPM/ServiceNow are required.Experience managing resources (core project team). The Project Manager is expected to manage a Business Analysis, a QA Lead as well as direct work to a Project Architect (dotted line), SMEs, and vendor resources as well as managing up to their Program Manager.Previous utility industry experience preferred.PMP or equivalent certification preferred but not required.Accrual-based accounting experience is preferred but not required
