Project Manager / Senior Project Manager – Structural Steel & Fabrication

Location: Denver, CO

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 + Bonus + Full Benefits

We are partnering with a well-established specialty contractor seeking a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join its structural steel division in the Denver area.

This role will manage structural steel projects from contract award through closeout, working closely with detailing, fabrication, purchasing, field operations, subcontractors, and customers.

What You'll Do

Manage structural steel projects from initial contract award through final closeoutReview contracts, scopes, drawings, specifications, and project requirementsManage submittals, RFIs, change orders, subcontractors, and project documentationOwn project financials, including cost tracking, forecasting, and monthly reportingCoordinate closely with detailing, shop fabrication, purchasing, and field operationsMaintain project schedules and proactively identify risks, delays, and critical prioritiesConduct regular site visits and maintain strong communication with GCs, customers, vendors, and internal teamsMentor and support Project Engineers throughout project executionManage approximately 2–5 projects depending on size and complexity

Required Experience

3+ years of construction Project Management experienceDirect experience within structural steel, steel fabrication/erection, or miscellaneous metals is requiredExperience managing projects from award through closeoutStrong understanding of structural steel project delivery, including coordination between detailing, fabrication, and field installationExperience with contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, procurement, scheduling, and project financialsAbility to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and leadership skills with the ability to hold teams accountable and effectively manage different personalities

Preferred Technology Experience

BluebeamProcore or similar construction management softwareTrimble/EPM or other steel fabrication management softwareMicrosoft ExcelSmartsheet

Experience with every platform is not required; the ability to quickly learn new systems is highly valued.

Project Portfolio

Projects span a variety of markets including commercial, industrial, mission critical, airport, and institutional construction, providing exposure to a diverse range of structural steel projects.

Compensation

Project Manager: Up to approximately $120,000Senior Project Manager: Up to approximately $150,000Performance bonus opportunitiesCompany-paid relocation assistance availableAdditional flexibility may be considered for exceptional candidates
