The Senior Controller will serve as a key leader within the finance organization, with primary responsibility for the company’s accounting and controllership functions across multiple legal entities. Reporting to the CFO, this role will oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, cash management, internal controls, compliance, and process improvement while ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and scalability of the company’s financial infrastructure.
The Senior Controller will be both a strategic finance partner and hands-on leader, working closely with the CFO and executive team to provide timely financial insights, strengthen processes and controls, and support the company’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the company’s accounting and controllership functions across multiple legal entities, including general accounting, payroll, treasury, and financial reporting.Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring financial results are accurate, complete, timely, and aligned with U.S. GAAP.Establish, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and financial processes.Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and other financial reporting deliverables.Lead external audit activities and serve as a primary point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and other external service providers, ensuring compliance and timely completion of required filings.Oversee cash management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, financing activities, debt obligations, and lender reporting.Monitor financial performance and analyze financial results, budgets, forecasts, and variances, providing meaningful insights and recommendations to the CFO and senior leadership.Ensure appropriate accounting treatment and financial oversight of significant expenditures, contracts, capital commitments, and other material business transactions.Partner with the CFO and finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, performance management, and strategic initiatives.Drive the ongoing enhancement of accounting systems, reporting infrastructure, and finance processes, identifying opportunities for automation, scalability, efficiency, and improved controls.Lead initiatives to strengthen the company’s internal control environment and ensure appropriate financial governance as the organization grows.Build, lead, and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team, establishing clear expectations, promoting accountability, and fostering professional development.Serve as a trusted thought partner to the CFO on financial reporting, technical accounting matters, analysis, special projects, and evolving business priorities.Support the finance organization on ad hoc analyses and strategic initiatives as needed.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA required.10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant experience leading accounting or controllership functions.Demonstrated experience overseeing accounting operations within a multi-entity organization preferred.Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, technical accounting, accounting operations, and internal controls.Proven experience managing month-end and year-end close processes and working directly with external auditors and advisors.Experience with cash management, treasury, debt, and banking relationships preferred.Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills, with the ability to effectively leverage ERP, accounting, and financial reporting systems.Strong business judgment, analytical and problem-solving skills, and exceptional attention to detail.Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executives and cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate high-performing teams.Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and scalability and drive initiatives through implementation.Leadership Profile
