You'll be responsible for large tasks and collaborating with teammates across multiple product teams to develop the right solutions.Articulate is looking for a Senior Design System Engineer II to join our amazing team!As a Senior Design System Engineer at Articulate, you’ll work closely with a talented team of engineers and designers to build an internal design system that accelerates all of Articulate’s product development. You'll be responsible for large tasks and collaborating with teammates across multiple product teams to develop the right solutions.What you'll do:Help drive technical direction for the design systemWork with the design system team engineers and designers to set the design system roadmap and create component designs that meet product teams’ needsBuild and maintain components that are easy for product teams to adopt and useCollaborate closely with product team designers and engineers to make sure the design system suits their needsBe part of a growing remote-first company with a world-class cultureBe responsible for making effective use of your time, focusing on quality results instead of effortWhat you should have:8+ years of experience working in a software engineering environmentAbility to write clear, testable, and maintainable Java Script Expertise with frontend technologies (React, JavaScript/Type Script, CSS)Strong git/github familiarityA proven track record of implementing, shipping and maintaining a design systemUnderstanding of how to version and distribute a design system, including managing CI tasksA history of collaborative, team-based workA history of being a technical leaderStrong communication skills and an ability to clearly explain technical topics to engineers and non-engineers alikeExperience and passion for accessibilityA strong ability to set priorities and scope work based on user feedbackLittle need for direct oversightNice to haves:Experience w/ a variety of frontend frameworks and/or Native Web ComponentsStrong familiarity with FigmaUnderstanding of how to leverage emerging Web Platform technologies effectively for use within the design systemAbout usArticulate Global, LLC, is the leading SaaS provider of creator platforms for online workplace training.
