Our client is seeking an IT Project Manager for a hybrid contract role in the Pittsburgh, PA area.
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering technology initiatives across the organization, including acquisitions, infrastructure, and application development efforts. This role partners with IT leadership, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver projects aligned with business objectives and established technology standards. The Project Manager will own project execution, ensure clear accountability, structured planning, and successful delivery of initiatives while supporting overall portfolio execution.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering IT projects across acquisitions, infrastructure, and development effortsDevelop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and status reporting to ensure visibility and alignmentCoordinate across IT, operations, and business teams to ensure project objectives, scope, and deliverables are clearly defined and executedLead requirements gathering, validation, and documentation in collaboration with IT Team, business stakeholders, and technical stakeholdersDrive onboarding and integration activities, including coordination of systems, infrastructure, and user readinessEnsure adherence to established technology acquisition and governance processesIdentify, track, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely escalation and resolutionFacilitate project meetings and executive updates to maintain transparency and accountabilityMaintain comprehensive project documentation including plans, requirements, decisions, and status updates
Position Specifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors)
Strong understanding of project management principles and ability to manage multiple concurrent initiativesExperience coordinating cross-functional teams across IT and business departmentsAbility to manage complex, multi-phase initiatives including integrations and onboarding effortsStrong organizational, communication, and documentation skillsAbility to drive accountability and ensure delivery against commitmentsComfort working in a fast-paced environment with evolving prioritiesAnalytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and solution optionsProficiency with project tracking tools and reporting practices such as MS Project, ProjectManager.com or equivalent
Qualifications – Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or equivalent experience3-5+ years of experience in project management or related rolesExperience delivering infrastructure, systems, or application projectsExperience supporting large-scale operational or acquisition-related initiatives preferred
