Position Summary
We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain the backend services and APIs that power our digital product ecosystem, including applications that integrate with and run on edge gateway devices. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who wants to write production .NET code against real hardware, not just another web tier. You will work directly with architects, firmware engineers, and product managers to turn requirements into resilient, well-tested systems that hold up in the field.
What You'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain ASP.NET Core APIs and backend services supporting edge gateway and IoT device communication
Build applications that interface with firmware over TCP sockets and local WiFi using offline-tolerant architectures
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate actively in code review
Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across distributed systems
Contribute to API specifications, technical documentation, and system design decisions
Support CI/CD pipeline improvements and DevSecOps practices

Required

5–8 years of professional software engineering experience
Strong, current C# / .NET and ASP.NET Core development experience
Deep understanding of RESTful API design and integration patterns
Entity Framework Core or a comparable ORM
Experience with PostgreSQL and SQLite
Experience with edge gateway or IoT communication patterns
Proficiency with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
Solid grounding in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
Demonstrated daily use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Codex, or GitHub Copilot, with strong code quality and security standards
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
