Senior Software Engineer - Internal Only

Your job As a Software Engineer III on the AI for Indeed team, you will contribute to the development and evolution of tools and workflows that help Indeed employees adopt AI to work more efficiently. You'll build and improve internal platforms, integrations, and skills that make AI tools like Claude easier to discover, trust, and use across the company, while helping shape next-generation solutions as adoption scales globally.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners to translate employee needs into well-designed, maintainable software. You'll participate in technical discussions, contribute to design outcomes within your team, and continuously build your skills while solving meaningful problems that directly shape how Indeedians work with AI every day.

Who you are Design, implement, and maintain features and services that support core business workflows.

Contribute to the evolution of existing systems while helping prototype and deliver new capabilities.

Participate in code reviews and design discussions to maintain quality, reliability, and clarity.

Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data partners to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Identify performance and scalability improvements and enhance existing code accordingly.

Share knowledge and provide guidance to teammates through collaboration and feedback.

Communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively within the team.

Who we are Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience; or a PhD without experience

Experience building or contributing to large-scale or distributed systems.

Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core computer science fundamentals.

A demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability for delivered work.

Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and enjoyment of solving complex technical problems.
