Staff Product Designer - Design Systems - 100% Remote - EMEA

Hostaway is hiring a fully remote, EMEA-based staff-level role to own its design system. The role defines the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution of the design system while partnering with design and engineering. It also includes end-to-end product feature work and exploring AI tooling for design workflows and design system practice.

What you\'ll do Lead and own the strategy, roadmap, and development of the design system in Figma Collaborate across teams to support design system implementation Integrate AI tooling, skills, and agents to improve design output Stay current with AI advancements so the design system can scale and adapt Develop collaborative workflows between design and front-end teams Define how the design team contributes to the design system and future processes Design, build, and maintain reusable components, patterns, and guidelines using atomic design principles Create clear and accessible documentation for teams What they\'re looking for Minimum 8+ years in product design Strong track record of creating, scaling, and evolving design systems in product organizations Proven ability to define strategy, set direction, and execute successfully for a design system Ability to balance long-term systems thinking with immediate product needs Ability to contribute to and own end-to-end product features Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and systems thinking Curiosity and enthusiasm for applying AI in the design process Eagerness to learn, experiment, and lead in AI-related design work
