Job Description

Lead and execute business development and marketing initiatives across Asia, supporting multiple practice groups and business priorities.

Develop and implement business development plans in partnership with senior stakeholders.

Lead the planning and execution of client events, seminars, conferences, training sessions, networking activities, and leadership engagements.

Manage end-to-end event delivery, including budgeting, vendor management, contract negotiation, logistics, gifting, invitations, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.

Drive client communications initiatives, including email marketing, social media campaigns, thought leadership distribution, and CRM management.

Conduct market, client, competitor, and industry research to identify trends and business opportunities.

Support legal directory submissions, awards programmes, sponsorship initiatives, media engagement, and profile-raising opportunities.

Collaborate closely with regional and global teams to ensure best practices and consistency across business development activities.

Manage and mentor a junior team member based in Hong Kong.

The Successful Applicant A Successful Marketing & Business Development Manager Should Have

Significant experience in Business Development, Marketing, Client Development, Communications, or Events Management within legal, financial services, or other professional services environments.

Demonstrated experience managing high-profile client events and strategic marketing initiatives.

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior executives and business leaders.

Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Strong commercial awareness and understanding of professional services environments.

Experience working with CRM systems and marketing technologies is advantageous.

Familiarity with LinkedIn, WeChat, and other professional communication platforms.

Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese
