[Remote] Staff Accountant II, Financial Reporting & Accounting Policy

The role involves assisting with external reporting processes, preparing journal entries, and supporting technical accounting analysis in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, including areas such as equity and share-based compensationSupport the preparation of internal management reporting packages and financial analysesAssist with the preparation of SEC filings and related disclosures, including Forms 10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K, Section 16 filings and proxy statementsPerform tie-outs of SEC filings and supporting schedules, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and audit-ready documentationSupport the quarterly earnings release process, including coordination with Investor Relations and preparation of supporting materialsReview peer company filings and disclosures to identify best practices and reporting enhancementsPrepare GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists and assist with technical accounting research and memo documentationAssist with the implementation of new accounting standards and other ad hoc reporting initiativesCommunicate effectively across functions and contribute both independently and within a team environmentDemonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced public company reporting environment
Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accountingreputed company knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirementsExperience supporting financial statement preparation, SEC filings, and/or audit processesStrong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP and reporting tools (e.g., PeopleSoft, Hyperion, reputed company, reputed company)Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy and completenessEffective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and levelsDemonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a reputed company and solutions-oriented mindsetAbility to quickly learn new systems and processes in a fast-paced public company reporting environmentHigh level of professionalism, initiative, and work ethicCPA or progress toward CPA preferred3+ years of accounting experience, with public accounting or public company experience preferred
