Senior Product Designer: Enterprise SaaS Design System & UI/UX Redesign (Figma) - Contract to Hire

We are a B2B enterprise SaaS company building a security, governance and operations platform for regulated enterprises. The product has three licensed modules: API security, AI governance, and infrastructure operations & security. It runs as a multi-tenant web application of about 60 screens, alongside a marketing website and product pages.

A review of our product found it isn't intuitive enough and doesn't yet feel enterprise-grade, and we've documented an internal assessment (attached PDF). We're looking for a senior product designer, or a small design team, to turn it into an enterprise-grade product experience.

WHAT WE NEED

1. Discovery (week 1): review all surfaces, run 3 user sessions (we recruit the participants), and recommend information architecture aligned with how we sell.

2. Design system in Figma (weeks 2–3): tokens as Figma Variables (light + dark), a component library with all states (data tables with saved views and bulk actions, filter bar and global search, side drawers, severity badges, empty, loading and error states), and usage guidelines. We lean towards building on IBM Carbon and re-skinning it to our brand; you may propose an alternative.

3. 7 core application flows (weeks 3–5): sign-in, role-based home (CISO, ops, SOC analyst, finance), inventory → detail, vulnerability triage, AI-agent triage and approval, customer onboarding wizard, admin and audit log. High fidelity, key states, and a clickable prototype of the demo path.

4. Marketing site & product pages (weeks 5–6): home, products overview, one page per module, and pricing. Responsive.

5. Developer handoff (weeks 6–8): Dev Mode annotations, token export (CSS variables / JSON), and two rounds of visual QA on implemented screens.

CONSTRAINTS

- Brand colour and logo are fixed; everything else is open.

- Light and dark themes; WCAG 2.1 AA.

- Back-end APIs stay as they are.

- Our engineers implement; you don't write production code.

- An NDA is required before demo access.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

- Demo environment access with synthetic data, screenshots of every screen, the assessment, and brand assets.

- User-session participants.

- A weekly 45-minute review, with Figma feedback within 2 business days.

The level we're aiming for: think Wiz, Datadog, Palo Alto Cortex, Linear.
