Technical Quality Engineer (Ref: KHXXX)
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Projects for Supply Chain, the purpose of the role is to ensure that stringent standards are met in the products that are shipped to customers, through the implementation of quality assurance processes and high repair standards.
The Job The key responsibilities will include
Defining, implementing and analysing Quality Performance, Quality Assurance
Process and Process Engineering, and ensure that product standards and compliance are consistently met;
Developing and maintain product specifications and triage criteria for the
Company’s mobile device and consumer electronics protection program in APAC;
Developing and implementing corrective actions, solutions and improvements;
Providing advice and technical support in assessing product condition and repairability and SLAs from Approved Service Providers on service quality.
a) Engineering
Create and update Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and define parts acceptance criteria in consultation with stakeholders.
Review parts under qualification for compliance against acceptance criteria
Conduct serial configuration and validation per product specification
Conduct Bill of Materials review and support the Process Engineering in defining the yield and parts’ source.
b) Quality Standards and Control
Ensure proper use of quality tools and Quality Management System across the region.
Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements,
aligned to OEM standards.
Determine quality metrics for all remanufacturing and quality assurance procedures.
Provide training and support to Quality Assurance /Technical team on systems,
policies, procedures, and core processes
Identify root causes of reported technical issues and recommend fixes.
Responsible for internal and external (service partners) quality audits and reviews.

c) Quality Performance Analysis
Track regional quality objectives against performance standards and customer experience and identify improvement opportunities.
The Candidate
Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
At least 4 years’ experience in the application of basic engineering concepts and techniques to operations
At least 3 years’ experience in consumer electronics products, laptops / desktops and/or mobile devices including New Product Introduction (NPI) and Bill of
Materials (BOM) creation
Knowledge on Product Quality Planning (APQP) preferably in Control Plan and
Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA).
Knowledge of quality standards, such as, ISO, IMS, and EMS.
Knowledge on the use of statistical tools and other continuous improvement methodologies such as but not limited to process capability, fault diagnostics /
analysis, reliability test etc.
Good organizational, analytical and creative skills
Knowledge of problem-solving skills using tools such as PDCA, DMAIC, 8D, 7QC
Tools would be useful
Technical Writing and Presentation Skills
Knowledge of Kinaxis / DAX would be an advantage
