Job Description

Drive strategic supplier partnerships that keep engineering operations moving and deliver real commercial value.

Our new Engineering Contracts Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring engineering goods and services are sourced, negotiated and managed to deliver maximum value across the business. Working closely with Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Operations and Legal teams, you'll oversee the full contract lifecycle while developing strong supplier partnerships that support both day-to-day operations and major capital projects.

Whether your background is in Engineering Procurement, Commercial Management, Supplier Relationship Management or Strategic Sourcing, this is an opportunity to influence business performance through effective contract governance, commercial negotiation and continuous supplier improvement.

You will be required to travel across our estate so a car and driving licence is required

Your Key Responsibilities

Managing the full lifecycle of engineering service and supply contracts.Negotiating new contracts, renewals and supplier agreements to achieve the best commercial outcomes.Leading tendering, RFQ and competitive bidding processes.Building and developing strong relationships with strategic engineering suppliers.Monitoring supplier performance through agreed SLAs and KPIs, driving continuous improvement.Managing contractual risks, variations and commercial disputes.Producing supplier performance and governance reports to support business decision-making.Working collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, Finance and Legal teams to support operational and capital project requirements.

The Ideal Candidate

Experienced in contract, procurement or commercial management within an engineering or manufacturing environment.A confident negotiator with strong commercial awareness.Skilled at managing supplier relationships and performance.Comfortable working with contracts, governance and commercial risk.An excellent communicator who can build effective relationships across multiple stakeholders.Analytical with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Able to prioritise multiple projects and contract activities simultaneously.MCIPS qualified (or working towards qualification) or hold a relevant Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering or Business qualification (desirable).You will be required to travel across our estate so a car and driving licence is required
