Business Development Manager – Global Investment Sourcing

Responsibilities:

Proactively source and screen investment opportunities worldwide, with an emphasis on high-return projects (e.g., infrastructure, real estate, energy, technology-enabled ventures).
Conduct comprehensive financial modeling, due diligence, risk analysis, and valuation to support investment decisions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with international partners, government entities, developers, financial institutions, and industry advisors.
Evaluate projects against strategic fit, return thresholds, and alignment with Belt and Road development trends.
Lead or support negotiations, term sheet structuring, and deal execution.
Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to senior management and investment committee.
Monitor portfolio performance and work with post-investment teams to maximize value creation.
Stay abreast of global economic trends, geopolitical factors, and sector-specific developments, especially in Belt and Road countries.
One year contract.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Engineering Management, Business Administration, or a related interdisciplinary field (e.g., Finance + Engineering). MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
3–5 years of proven project investment experience, with a demonstrable track record of successfully closing investment deals (please provide examples).
Strong financial analysis and corporate finance skills; proficiency in DCF, LBO, IRR, and comparable company analysis, Or solid understanding of engineering management / project development lifecycles (cost, schedule, risk).
Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management skills; ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
Global perspective and cross-cultural communication skills; experience working with international teams.
In-depth knowledge or strong interest in Belt and Road Initiative development trends, policies, and key markets.
Willingness to travel frequently to assess projects and build local relationships.
